In the period from the 1st to the 3d of November the III International forum RUSNANOTECH 2010 was held in Moscow, more than 1700 entrepreneurs, about two thousand scientists and politicians from different countries participated in it. The event brought together representatives from scientific and business communities to discuss future innovative directions for scientific, technical and economic development. 350 enterprises exhibited their projects in the field of nanotechnology.
The First Deputy of the Russian Prime Minister, the chairman of the RUSNANOTECH 2010 organizing committee Sergey Ivanov, the director general RUSNANO Anatoly Chubais, the RAS (Russian Academy of Science) vice president, Nobel prize laureate, academician Jaurès Alferov and the Microsoft director general Steve Ballmer participated in the inauguration ceremony of the Forum.
The delegation was headed by the Governor of the Omsk region Leonid Polezhayev. In the composition of the delegation there were the representatives of the regional government, regional support structures for innovations, as well as the leading industrial and scientific organizations that implement projects based on nanotechnology.
12 innovative projects of the Omsk region were included into the exposition at the RUSNANOTECH 2010 forum. A worthy place among these projects took the project “The development of the technology for production of the nanoporous sorbents based on natural ecologically clean raw materials – lacustrine sapropel” by the closed scientifically productive corporation “Vega 2000 – The Siberian Organics”.
