In balneology

The sapropel usage in balneology.

Sapropel – is the mud of the highest biological potency. It is based on biogenic matter, biological compounds and the broadest mineral complex:

Organic Matter Bioactive components Минеральный комплекс
Amino acids Essential amino acids Vitamins Enzymes Major mineral elements Trace substances
Alanine Arginine Asparaginic acid Histidine Glycine Glutaminic acid Serine Tyrosine Cysteine Valine Isoleucine Leucine Lysine Methionine Threonine Tryptophan Phenylalanine В1, В2, В3, В5, В6, В12, С, D, Е Catalase Reductase Peroxidase Protease Antiseptic matters Lipids Proteins Carbohydrates Calcium Phosphorus Silicon Magnesium Potassium Sulfur Silver Iron Zinc Copper Selenium Cobalt Iodine Molybdenum Nickel Manganese

Sanatorium-and-spa treatment methods of broad spectrum of diseases in almost all the body systems with the help of sapropel applications were devised by Tomsk research institute of physical therapy and balneology in 2006.

The unique therapeutic properties of sapropel muds are determined with:

  • Maximum concentration of organic matters – up to 80 %.
  • The highest thermal capacity, comparing with the other varieties of muds, and, as a result, the highest therapeutic activity.
  • The fact that sapropel muds are the only muds which obtain bactericidal properties.
  • The fact that there are no synthetical analogs with the same composition and action spectrum in modern cosmetology and pharmacological industry.
