Carbonic sorbent

Carbonic sorbent - is a new sort of non-polluting carbonic sorbents, produced from natural organic raw material by heat treatment in controlled gas medium and intended for sorption water purification from organic matters and oil based products.

Its analogues are sorbents of Norit, Chemviron, Calgon Corp. However, in comparison with them the product costs much less having comparative technical characteristics.

Properties of carbon sorbents:

Bulk density of pores 0,5 - 1,5 cm 3 / g
Adsorption activity on mytelene blue 50 - 150 mg / g
Mineral admixtures 10 - 20 % of weight
Diameter of pellets and extrudates 2 - 10 mm

Possible range of sorbents application:

  • disposable sorbents for water treatment and purification of sewage from organic matters and oil based products of mean and high molecular weight, dye-stuffs, SAA (surface acting agents), pesticides for processes intensification of chemical and biological water purification;
  • carriers for preparation of applied sorbents, useful for removal of ionic impurities and contaminants from solutions, natural and sewage waters, drains of galvanic and electrochemical productions, removal and concentrating ions of heavy metals;
  • the usage of sorbents as a matrix for catalyst application;
  • iron content reducing in water.
