“The Siberian organics”, closed corporation, holding company – ltd company “Vega 2000 – The Siberian Organics” (2002) and Ltd company “Vega-tag” (where tag stands for the partnership of active citizen) (2002). The history of the company began from the foundation of the multisectoral enterprise “Vega”, which was one of the pioneers to start sapropel resources development in the Omsk area. Until 1999 the enterprise studied physicochemical properties and the processing potentials for the sapropel deposits in Znamensk (Lake Arteev), Tar (Lake Molodavskoe, Kruglenkoe-2, Mezinina), Tukalinsk (Lake Puchai) regions. The holding company “The Closed corporation “The Siberian organics” was established in 2006 after a number of reorganizations. The holding company has its own scientific and production basis and highly qualified staff. It actively uses the results of the cooperative exploitations and scientific researches, laboratory, experimental and industrial tests, which were obtained jointly with the Siberian Branch of the Russian Scientific Academy structures.(the definition is according to the encyclopedia of Omsk area., page 329)
Having started with sapropel fertilizers 
, which steadily conquered agricultural lands, the company engaged in scientific studying of technological possibilities to convert the feedstock in the aim of getting more capacious with vitamins and mineral substance products than sapropel itself.
“The Siberian organics” in conference with the Agrarian university obtained extract of sapropel – ES2 (a biologically active infusion)
, which is used to prevent and treat some diseases of poultry and cattle. Besides a new production method of the green fodder 
and sapropel fodder addition 
was created.
The managers of the farms, where the sapropel extract has been used, were pleasantly surprised in a year: the increase of milk yield and the survival rate of calves in one flock of 1000 heads gained the profit which totaled about one million roubles. The economical efficiency came to 10-20 roubles to one rouble of expenses for the extract. The farms that used the sapropel fodder addition for extra nutrition of cows, swine and poultry, gained their benefit as well. Average daily additional weight of the swine live weight increases up to 10-12 per cents. The animals ail less. After the first success the Omsk businessmen confirmed in their decision to enhance the Siberian livestock farming. Alexander Tretyakov explains: “This year we decided to start a complex farm service. That means that we do not just sell the extract or fodder addition, but support the livestock farm in general: beginning with the development and introduction of the most efficient vaccination scheme of animals and including the preparation of the mixed fodder, mostly effective for the concrete farm”.
Then sapropel tar 
was derived with the help of a thermal treatment method of sapropel. Nowadays it is widely used in veterinary, farming and medicine
The next concept of the company in the sphere of scientific investigations was the sorbent production, which was held jointly with the Institute of carbon processing problems, the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The product “Sibsorbent-1” 
, was received as a result. It is intended for deleting petroleum, oil, fuel oil from any surface, including water. The product carbonaceous sorbent 
was also received. It is intended for the sorptive water cleaning. The two products represent a new class of ecologically clean sorbents, which do not lose their qualities with low temperatures and are very convenient either in usage, or utilization.
For today the company studies usage opportunities of the product based on sapropel in cosmetology and balneology. The therapeutic cosmetic mud «Saproterm» 
improves skin metabolism, enriches it with vitamins and minerals, clears the body of spare liquids, waste products, toxins, favours fat splitting.
