SAPROPEL - BASED FERTILIZERS
Depositions
of sapropel are used for producing high-quality fertilizers for soils
and plants of any kind with the purpose of increasing contents of humus,
nitrogen and trace elements. Usage of sapropelic fertilizer improves mechanical
structure of soils, their humidity and airoration. Yield of grain, vegetables
and root vegetables after using sapropel, grows up by 40-50% depending
on the sort of soil and application dosage. There is sharp increasing
of protein and carotin contents in plants treated with sapropel, quantity
of starch in potato plants - by 15%, quantity of sugar in beets - by 40
%.
The sapropelic fertilizer vitamin-rich groups B (B1, B12, B3, B6), E,
C, D, P, каратиноидами, many enzymes, for example, catalases, peroxidases,
reductases, proteases.
The sapropelic fertilizers contains a plenty of trace elements, such
as: Co, Mn, Cu, B, Zn, Br, Mo, V, Cr, Be, Ni, Ag, Sn, Pb, As, Ba, Sr,
Ti.

Sapropel fertilizer is a valuable product, used for overall improvement
of soil and for its recultivation and sanation.
Placing of organic sapropel fertilizers into soils
Efficiency
of average norms of sapropel raises after pre-liming of acid soil and
placing mineral fertilizers in dose № 60P60K60 using ridge technology
and of over-surface spreading with organic and mineral fertilizers cultivators,
when principles of minimum working of soil are observed and fertilizers
are concentrated in ridge-formed zone, where tubers are made up placed.
Methods of sapropel placement influenced agrochemical parameters of the
plow horizon soil. Over-surface placing increased humus content from 3,2%
to 5,0%, while this rate at organic fertilizer distribution in profile
at moldboard plowing was only 0,6%.
Over-surface placing and accumulation of sapropel in ridge zone provoked
more active organics mineralization and mobile forms of phosphor and interchange
kalium loading of plow horizon. Content of phosphor, kalium, magnesium
and starch in tubers also raised.
Deep placing, especially in large quantities, led to lowering of starch
content in tubers.
Using sapropel does not provoke heavy metals accumulation neither in soils,
nor in tubers.
The sapropelic fertilizers have a number of advantages over fertilizers
of other kinds, namely:
- over peat - contains more spacious list of organic matters indispensable
for plants. Sapropels are extremely rich in nitrogen. No fossil, neither
peat, nor shale or oil, have
as
high density of nitrogen, as sapropel
- over other composts of animal origin - there are less weeds, bacterium
and flora in sapropel. At prolonged preservation losses of nitrogen
are not indicated
- unlike chemical fertilizers, the non-polluting sapropel does not make
harmful toxic effect on people and animals, and to the contrary, reduces
the contents of Sodium nitritums, nitrites, salts, heavy metals
- terms of applying and the ways of placing sapropel into soil do not
differ from terms and ways of applying of other organic fertilizers,
but there are also advantages: at spreading sapropel "at random"
over the surface before ploughing, the losses of nitrogen are not detected
even at longer delay of ploughing
- validity of fertilizer lasts up to 14 years. Sapropelic fertilizer
is used for sanation and recultivation of soil
- at placing into soil - improves its mechanical structure, moisture
absorption and water-retention, gives increases contents of humus for
2-3 years, activates soil processes. Due to a sluggish solubility of
matters, contained in the product, plants are provided with balanced
amount of all nutritious elements
- It is worth mentioning that application of sapropel together with
mineral fertilizers reduces harmful influence of heavy metals. Tubers
remain pure and don't collect heavy metals.
